Shelter

Roma, a 6 month old short-haired domestic cat, is available for adoption at the Shenandoah County Animal Shelter, 268 Landfill Road, Edinburgh.

Her adoption fee is $ 40. The refuge is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. Information: 540-984-8955.

Veterans with disabilities

The Front Royal Samuels Library will offer the following adult programs:

United Way

Centraide has planned a reduced version of its Day of Caring for Friday with several projects underway, including several for the benefit of local non-profit organizations.

This year’s event is sponsored by Valley Health and Rappahannock Electric Cooperative. Highlights this year include volunteering 25 Warren County High School CAED students, planned projects for five county nonprofits, and cleaning up Warren County parks.
