New green markets, farmers’ markets: the Abacoa de Jupiter; Lantana Sunday

Two new green markets recently opened, filling the gaps in north and central / south Palm Beach County.

The two new markets are the Abacoa Green Market and the Lantana Green Market.

The Abacoa Green Market, organized and launched by restaurateur Ryan Witkowski, started in early October.

Held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays at the Abacoa Amphitheater in Jupiter, it features fresh produce, seafood, artisan cheeses, baked goods, crafts, photography and more.

Although fresh out of the door, it is already picking up speed. Having started with 30 suppliers, they are already 40 and growing.

In addition to the culinary and visual delights, there is live music with different local bands performing weekly.

Got a four-legged friend who wants to be part of the socialization and good times? As long as they are on a leash, they are welcome.

Witkowski, whose Stadium Grill restaurant recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, launched the market to support local vendors and attract potential customers to Abacoa.

Lantana’s new green Sunday market

Lantana Leisure Center hosts a new green market with more than 20 vendors, including Travel Stush, which sells sarongs and island clothing.

For residents of central and southern County, the Lantana Green Market opened on October 17th.

Held from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sundays at the Lantana Leisure Center, this waterfront market features more than 20 artisan vendors featuring many locally grown fruits and vegetables, fresh seafood and produce. bakery as well as artisanal items.

They’ll also add something a little different and delicious – a catered brunch.

Starting on the second Sunday in November, they’ll have a variety of rotating options, fresh fruit, baked goods, made-to-order waffles, omelet stations and more.

Tickets for the brunch will be available on site. Feel free to take it up a notch with unlimited breakfast drinks like mimosas.

Creating a relaxed atmosphere for the event, there will be live music including acoustic, saxophone or flute.
